Qwanoes Summer Staff 2010

Counseling Positions:

Serve God in a front-line ministry capacity this summer, putting into practice the leadership and counseling skills you have gained. A counselor's primary responsibility is to build relationships with campers and help draw them closer to Christ, introducing them to a life like no other! Counselors lead cabin discussion groups, offer love and a listening ear—and correction if needed—and care for the daily basic needs of campers.

Counselors also lead various land and water activities—according to ability, experience and interest—and assist in leading teams in various adventure games. Counselors are provided with and required to read The Christian Camp Counselor from Qwanoes Publishing. Counselors who are new to Qwanoes are strongly encouraged to attend the Counselor Training Seminar.

Several other counseling positions offer the opportunity to give spiritual leadership to other staff and trainees. These positions require a higher level of training and experience, and offer challenge and responsibility to the motivated leader.
