Leader-in-Training Program

Practical Training For Youth

This unique program provides opportunity for qualified graduates of our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program to gain additional experience and evaluation in the areas of leadership, counseling and program development, along with further theoretical and practical training. Serve God now in a significant way and be challenged to mature spiritually. Increase your awareness of the work and vision of Christian ministry and your place in it.

Part Of The Staff Team

LIT's play a key role on our staff team and serve in a variety of areas including junior counseling, events, activities, and support staff. This is excellent preparation for future leadership roles, particularly in camp, church and other ministries.

Option One: LIT

Requires a minimum 8 week commitment. Support Goal: $3200 (highter if serving longer than 8 weeks) and Qwanoes contributes $500 if needed to reach the goal (see "Financial Assistance Programs" for more information).

Option Two: LIT-Lite

Requires a minimum 4 week commitment.

Both Options:

The weeks of Staff Training (June 22 to 29) and Juniors #1 (July 14 to 20) are required. The remaining weeks of the LIT program will include serving as a junior counselor (for 1 of 4 weeks) and in the areas of events, activities, or operations support. There is also a special option (but highly recommended) training weekend on May 4-6 to help form our LIT group and begin training. Please contact us if you have questions concerning your school exam schedule.
