Registrar/Business Services Assistant

In this vital full-time, year-round, paid position you’ll be responsible for the camp’s registration (in a team approach with the Business Services Coordinator), including reception, communication with parents/guests, processing registrations, correspondence, cabin assignment, and coordinating the registration team. You’ll also assist the Business Services Coordinator with bookkeeping (ex. accounts payable), and various administration needs. This position is a vital part of our administration team and year-round team.

This team player is a ministry oriented, spiritually mature Christian with a deep love for children’s and youth ministry, and must possess excellent organizational, communication and administrative abilities, and a proficiency with computers.

Kaléo Program Leader

Responsible to lead the fully-accredited college leadership program called the Kaléo program, a partnership of Camp Qwanoes and Briercrest College & Seminary that goes from September to April. This transformational program is for high-school grads up to age 22, and is currently in it’s 21st year and recently welcomed our 500th student. See www.kaleo.ca for more program information. During the summer months (May to August), responsible for providing staff care and support for the staff team, occasional support for the summer leadership programs (Step-Out, CIT, LIT), and assisting with staff training and development.

The Kaléo Program Leader needs to have a recognizable spiritual maturity, be a ministry-oriented team-player, show a love and aptitude for children's, youth and young adult ministry, have extensive Christian ministry and leadership experience, have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and have knowledge and experience in outdoor recreation. Minimum bachelor's degree required and previous Christian camping ministry experience preferred. Includes full benefits package.

Maintenance Assistant-Construction

This full-time year-round paid position is part of our maintenance team, and will focus on construction and building related projects, repairs and maintenance. Camp Qwanoes has grown for over two decades, and there are a variety of building-related project needs in response to this growth, and upcoming projects needed for future growth.

This team player is a ministry-oriented, spiritually mature Christian with excellent management, organizational, maintenance/property maintenance skills, people skills and leadership abilities, and a deep love for children’s and youth ministry. Previous experience in Christian camping is preferred, especially related experience (property management) and/or training in related areas.
