Qwanoes is committed to supporting the ministry of local evangelical churches. In fact, we consider ourselves as an arm of your church ... a direct extension of your ministry, and you and your students' very own personal outreach tool. Here are some ways we seek to connect as partners with you and your church:
Come with your children's or youth group! Imagine bringing a group of kids and their friends from your church ministry for an unforgettable week at Qwanoes with you! No one can do as thorough a job of camper follow-up as a Qwanoes staff member from their local church. We love having local youth and children’s ministry leaders here on staff for a week or more.
Come as a volunteer for one week or more! Serve as a counselor, kitchen staff, activity support, janitor, Family Camp leader and many other positions.
Come as a guest! We welcome church leaders and others to come and see what God is doing at Camp Qwanoes and gain a vision for this ministry.
Join our Prayer Team! Our staff depend on the faithful prayers of over 1000 Prayer Team members every summer. Commit to praying daily for our staff and their ministry.
Take in some great workshops! Our Spring Workshop Series offers excellent training in camp counseling, music ministry and recreational ministry. See our workshops & seminars section for details.
Take in Bible College Courses! Our Kaléo program allows individuals to sign up for week-long accredited courses taught by professors from Briercrest College.
Direct your youth to our Counselor-In-Training program! Hundreds of youth from local churches have experienced a life-changing four weeks of training, hands-on ministry and service on our CIT program. Welcome staff back into your ministry as experienced workers! Those who have served as staff at Camp Qwanoes will return to your church fired up for ministry and with a wealth of training and experience. Set them loose in your children's and youth ministries!
Invite and disciple campers who live in your area! Qwanoes regularly partners with local churches to follow-up children and youth who have made a decision for Christ and are in need of a church to get them growing. Talk with your pastor about helping connect with local campers whose reports your church may have received from Qwanoes.
