Greylock & His Magical Extravaganza

Join Greylock the Wise for our Magical Extravaganza where Vikings can be Vikings and where the fun is from another world! Challenge your friends to the Viking Smash or test your aim at the Piercing Arrow. Bring your bravery, set your sails and prepare for a carnival like no other...plus don’t forget to bring to camp everything you’ll need to look the part.

Accomodations:

Families have the choice of bringing their own tent ot R.V., staying in our Sky Ridge Lodge, non-winterized cabins, or Pacific Woods Lodge (limited). Please note that the treehouse village may not be available.

Our Speaker: Brent (& Pam) Chapman

Brent and Pam Chapman have been married for 16 years and have four kids (Kennedy, Sydney, Jayden, and Kieryn) that fill their lives with a lot of laughter but also keep them very busy. Brent originally wanted to become a PE/history teacher but God had other plans for him, which included running a painting business and helping start a church. In 2001, after completing Seminary, the church (SouthRidge Fellowship) that Brent and Pam helped start hired Brent on as an associate pastor. In 2005, SouthRidge asked Brent to become their lead pastor, a position he continues to hold. You will enjoy getting to know Brent and Pam, and being both encouraged and spiritually challenged.

Great Children’s & Youth Programs - Experienced Youth Leaders

Our quality team of leaders look forward to sharing their lives with your kids! Families will meet together each morning in Q-Town, and children and youth will then break away to their very own program. During evening Q-Town ages nine and older will meet once again. Every night will also include a special fireside for all ages. Prepare for adventure and discovery!

Under Two (Ages 0 to 2 Years)

Complimentary child care will be provided during every morning and evening Q-Town. Our staff look forward to getting to know your loved ones! If your two-year-old is ready to join our program for three-year-olds, that is your option! (By the way, we also provide a "baby station" in our dining hall equipped with high chairs, booster seats, a microwave, and a small fridge.)

Cedar Creek Gang (Ages 2 to 8 Years) Leader: Summer Staff

An extensive team of summer staff leaders are looking forward to being with your kids in our new Cedar Creek Gang program. Hands on learning, crafts, activities, and friendship. Your kids will love it!

9-1-1 (Juniors – 9 to 11 years) Leader: Paul (& Julie) Olson

Paul and Julie Olson come to us from Maple Ridge, BC where Paul has been the Children’s Pastor for the past 13 years at Burnett Fellowship. Paul’s love for Jesus and children make a great mix when it comes to providing quality, innovative and life changing ministry to kids. Paul and Julie have been married for 15 years and have five children ranging in age from 2 to 12. Paul served as Qwanoes’ first Head Counselor where he learned a great deal about camp life and the huge impact Qwanoes has on so many young people!

øZone (Jr. High – 12 to 14 years) Leader: Pastor Wes (& Christy) Linde

Wes and Christy Linde live in Quesnel where Wes is the Youth Pastor at Northstar Church. Both graduated from Briercrest Bible College in April of 2002, and they have three children between the ages of one and five. Wes & Christy have been involved at Qwanoes for many years as campers and leaders, and they have a deep passion for youth. This will be their sixth year as øZone leaders, and they love spending time with Junior High’s.

Wildlife (Sr. High – 15 to 18 years) Leader: Chris (& Kellee) Synesael

Chris has been involved in youth ministry for many years, and he’s currently the Director of Youth & College & Career at Saanich Baptist Church in Victoria. Chris and Kellee have three children between the ages of three and six. They have a deep passion to see Jesus restore the brokeness that is becoming all to common in the lives of youth. Their desire is to help students to experience the fulfillment that comes from following Jesus.

Family Work Weekend (June 4-6, 2010)

Here is a great opportunity for your family to serve together and experience Qwanoes all in one weekend - and there is no cost!

This special weekend will include: serving during Saturday as part of our Summer Work Day (which ends with our special “Prayer Day” program), a family fireside Saturday evening, and a Q-Town Sunday morning.
