Spring Retreat Speaker: Krista Penner
Krista Penner dynamically motivates and inspires audiences to embrace the love of Jesus Christ. She encourages audiences to develop authenticity in their lives by presenting Biblical truths that will strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus.
Krista developed her writing and speaking style while working as an executive assistant at Sony of Canada for Mr. Joseph H. Cohen, “Mr. Sony,” for 20 years. Her experience in the corporate world has given her the ability to understand what women face as they try to find balance in a culture that demands that they are good at everything all the time! She now serves as the Director of Women’s Ministries for the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches Pacific. In this role, she motivates and mentors women as they use their gifts to serve in their churches and communities across British Columbia.
Krista uses humour to speak God’s truth into the lives of women. Krista is passionate about living out the love of Christ so that others will see and believe that Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. Krista feels called to bring the excitement of God’s living Word to women.
Fall Retreat Speaker: Grace Fox
Grace Fox is an international author and speaker described as “deep, daring, and devoted.” She’s written hundreds of magazine articles and four books including the 10-Minute Time Out devotional series and Moving From Fear to Freedom: A Woman’s Guide to Peace in Every Situation. Radio and television programs such as “100 Huntley Street” and “It’s a New Day” consider her a trusted guest.
Grace is national co-director of International Messengers Canada, a ministry committed to sharing Christ in Eastern Europe. She and her husband live in Abbotsford. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. In her spare time, Grace enjoys motorbiking!
Grace is a much-loved and popular speaker at Qwanoes, and we are very excited to be able to welcome her back! Prepare for a life- changing weekend together!
Details:
- Begins: Friday, 9:30 p.m. (Registration 8:30-9:00 p.m.)
- Ends: Sunday, 1:30 p.m. Mainlanders will catch the 3:15 p.m. ferry to Tsawwassen.
- Accommodation: Warm dormitory-style rooms in our Lodges (Sky Ridge and the Pacific Woods Lodge). You can choose which lodge you would like to stay in when you register.
- What to bring: Your own bedding, Bible, alarm clock, flashlight, warm casual clothes, personal items, appropriate footwear, old clothes & shoes (just in case!), swimsuit.

Challenge Course (Skyscraper, Screamer, Climbing Tower, Breathtaker, Etc.), Hiking, Horseshoes, Ping Pong, Street Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Foosball, Trampoline, and more.

Enjoy a special Saturday afternoon matinee... and experience theatre at its best. You’ll love every minute of it! Women’s Retreat rate is $40 for 2-hour matinee. To reserve your spot, write “Theatre Option” on the registration form and include your $40 at time of registration. Space is limited and there are no refunds. Transportation provided. (Spring: Noises Off • Fall: Chickens).
