Church Resources

At Camp Qwanoes, we believe that attending a church is one of the most important things you can do. Going to church gives opportunities to express love for God and honour him, to enjoy real fellowship with other believers in Christ, to grow in faith and spiritual strength, to serve God in real ministry, and to discover your mission in life.

Many churches have excellent program options for children and youth. All of the staff at Qwanoes attend a church somewhere and we encourage everyone to find a church to attend. The following churches covering most areas of Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver are regularly recommended to campers at Qwanoes. This list is not complete by any means!

Please contact Scott Bayley for more info.

Green pointers: these churches are highly involved with Qwanoes; they often send many summer staff and we regularly work with them in connecting campers to their youth group, many of these churches are part of the Qwanoes membership society. All of these churches will have great kids and youth programs and will be a lot of fun.

Blue pointers: these churches are involved with Qwanoes; they may send some summer staff and we work with them in connecting some campers to their youth group, some of these churches are Qwanoes members. Most of these churches will have active kids and youth programs and will be a lot of fun.

Yellow pointers: these churches are known to Qwanoes; they may occasionally send summer staff and some Qwanoes campers may attend; some may not have separate youth and kids programs running, check with their website or contact the church.

Note To Churches: The coloured pointers provide a general guide to help campers know where they could likely connect with campers and/or staff from their summer experience at Qwanoes, and it helps them understand our connection with churches. This is an ongoing work in progress and is by no means complete. To update the information for your church or to discuss adding your church, please email Qwanoes' Follow-Up Coordinator at followup@qwanoes.ca.
