Shine Out Loud!

15th ANNIVERSARY Q–TOWN SINGING CONTEST

Help us celebrate 15 years of original music from Q–Town Records!

Choose your favorite Q–Town song, sing it out and capture it on video. Now upload your creation and let your new Qwanoes fanbase cheer you on!

Our new site is now live!

Did we mention the prizes? This summer we'll award the top-rated camper performer from each camp through the summer -- with the grand-finale winners to be announced and shown at our fall Road Tour. The final winner will receive a "qPod" (iPod Touch) loaded with every Q-Town song ever recorded (that's a LOT of great music!). Weekly winners will receive a new Qwanoes hoodie and their video will be shown on QTV in Q-Town.

Apply Online!

Our world needs hope!

Since 1995 Q-Town has created new music filled with vision, hope and life. And our world needs some extra hope right now...it needs a vision for what real life was meant to be, and CAN be with Christ. We call it "life like no other" around here, and Q-Town music is FILLED with this message.

Come on and shine out loud for all to see and hear!

Here's your chance to SHINE OUT LOUD to your friends and the world. By singing and sending us your video...you're shining from your heart and letting your light shine. And you know what? This is what Q-Town is all about! Don't be shy - we're going to cheer everyone on. Let everyone hear!

Sure...the videos will be part of a contest...but all will be celebrated and this is really about SO MUCH MORE!

Solo or Band...It's Your Choice!

Most people will probably sing on their own...but you're welcome to sing with one friend or more!

No Need For An Instrument!

You are welcome to sing acappella (without an instrument) - that will be great! If you want to play an instrument, that's fine too but it's all up to you! All we know is we'd love to hear you sing!

Choose From Two Categories

Young, old, staff and campers...all are invited and it's now underway!

CAMPER CATEGORY - PAST & PRESENT: The first category is for those coming to a Qwanoes summer 2010 camp AND for all past Qwanoes campers! To be eligible for the contest you must be between the ages of 8 (or turning 8 by December 31, 2010) and 18 (graduating high school in June 2010).

STAFF CATEGORY - PAST & PRESENT: The second category is for those who will serve on Qwanoes staff this year or who HAVE served on Qwanoes staff in the past.

How We Will Select The Winners

During each camp this summer, the five top-rated videos will be judged by our special panel, led by our very own Russ Smith...the writer and performer of almost every Q-Town song. A number of factors will be used to select the top five videos. A winning video will be selected from this final group of five each week.

Plus - the overall grand finale winner will be selected and announced at our Road Tour in October. We will use the same criteria to narrow down to the final five, and our panel will select the winner.

Choose From 90 Q-Town Songs!

It all started with "Live The Adventure" in 1995 and now there are 90 songs in all! So - find one of your favorites and start singing! Can't decide on your favorite? No problem...you are welcome to submit more than one.

How long should the video be?

It will work great if you sing one verse and the chorus...but you are welcome to sing longer. It's up to you.

About Q-Town Music

Q-Town is the music ministry of Camp Qwanoes and our goal is to develop enthusiastic visionaries committed to the cause of Christ and to make songs that declare our love for Jesus. Like a city on a hill, we want our light to shine! Our hope is that Q-Town songs will help you sing to the Lord and shine out loud to all people.

Since 1995 Q-Town Records has provided albums of original music that capture the spirit of summer. Summer 2010 will debut our fifteenth project, a brand-new full-length album...packed with great all-new music, including our summer 2010 theme song! Want in on the action? Be a part of our "Shine Out Loud" contest!
