Campers from Vancouver Island

Summer campers register at Camp Qwanoes between 3:30 and 3:45 pm on the first day (8:30 and 9:00 pm for retreats) and leave between 12:50 and 1:10 pm on the closing day (1:30 pm for retreats). Transportation is not provided for Island campers.

Campers from the Lower Mainland

You can be confident knowing that for 57 years we have made getting to Qwanoes easy and hassle-free! Simply meet at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal at 11:15 am (4:45 pm for retreats) and check-in with our experienced adult camp representatives. We will board the 12:45 pm (5:45 pm for retreats) sailing as a group along with other Qwanoes staff members who will provide supervision on the ferry. Campers will enjoy a scenic ferry ride across the Georgia Strait.

Bus and Ferry Return Rates

  • 7 to 11 years (Age at Camp) – $20
  • 12 to 18 years (Age at Camp) – $40

Ferry cost is usually paid on first day of camp. Both rates subject to change. Adults are required to look after their own ferry fees and luggage. Note: bus transportation is only available for campers coming with us on the ferry.

Traveling by Air

A Qwanoes airport shuttle is available from the Victoria International Airport (cost is $70 return) and from the Nanaimo Airport (cost is $45 return). Call for details. Your confirmation package will provide further details.
