Our Speaker: Don (& Deb) Schulling

Photo of Family Camp Speaker Don SchullingDon and Deb are passionate about strengthening homes to have rock-solid relationships that glorify God. Don was in camp ministry for six years followed by pastoral ministry for twenty-five years, focusing on marriages and families for the past ten years. Deb has her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from ACTS seminary and has been highly involved in pre-marriage and marriage counseling.

They are presently serving at Maple Ridge Baptist where Don is the Pastor of Family Ministries. They have three adult children and enjoy hanging out as a family, cooking, walking, hiking and being active outdoors.

JUMPSTART OPTION! ARRIVE ON JUNE 14

To make it even more special, choose our new JUMPSTART option and arrive a day earlier! After registering between 1:00 and 2:00 pm on Thursday, your weekend begins and our activities will be open for the rest of the afternoon! Friday will include a family fun time in the morning, and activities open all afternoon.

After dinner on Friday onward, we will welcome guests who are coming for just Friday to Sunday, and enjoy the full Summer Family Retreat together.

JUMPSTART means more activities, more family time, and even more fun!

Details:

  • Begins: JUNE 15-17 OPTION: Friday, 9:00 p.m. (Register anytime between 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.) Qwanoes will provide bus transportation from the Duke Point Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo for both the 3:15 pm and 5:45 pm ferries from Tsawwassen. Note: If arriving on the 3:15 pm ferry, please note that dinner is not provided at Qwanoes on Friday night.
  • Begins: JUNE 14-17 JUMPSTART OPTION: Thursday, 2:00 p.m. (Register anytime between 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.) Qwanoes will provide bus transportation from the Duke Point Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo for the 10:15 am ferry from Tsawwassen.
  • Ends: Sunday, 1:30 p.m. Mainlanders will catch the 3:15 p.m. ferry to Tsawwassen.
  • Accommodation: Families have the choice of bringing their own tent or R.V, staying in our Sky Ridge Lodge, non-winterized cabins, or Pacific Woods Lodge (limited). You can decide on your accommodation at the time of registration.
  • What to bring: Your own bedding, Bible, alarm clock, flashlight, warm casual clothes, personal items, appropriate footwear, old clothes & shoes (just in case!), swimsuit.

Activities:

Qwanoes Beach (most activities will be open), Challenge Course (Skyscraper, Screamer, Climbing Tower, Breathtaker, Etc.), Hiking, Horseshoes, Ping Pong, Street Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Foosball, Trampoline, and more.

Family Work Weekend (June 1-3, 2012)

Here is a great opportunity for your family to serve together and experience Qwanoes all in one weekend - and there is no cost!

This special weekend will include: serving during Saturday as part of our Summer Work Day (which ends with our special "Prayer Day" program), a family fireside Saturday evening, and a Q-Town Sunday morning. For more info goto the Family Work Weekend page.
